Elizabeth Lane was born December 31, 2009.   

As you begin this journey of bringing into the world a new life, we just want you to know that we are praying for you. We have been praying for you for some time. Your baby's future is so precious and so is yours. We pray for your decision and that it would the right one for you and your baby. We hope that this portfolio gives you an idea about who we are and the home and family we hope to provide for a baby. We have tried for many years to have children and though we do not know what you are going through today, we do know a bit about the difficulty of decisions.

We have been married for 4 years and have a wonderful marriage. We have very loving and supportive families. It always seems like a concern of parents if the entire family is open to adoption-ours is! Both grandmothers are so excited to see their new grandbaby and already buy toys and clothes-and pray for you both! Our baby will have 2 uncles, an aunt, and 2 cousins who will love them and protect them. We have a 3 bedroom home in the country with a huge backyard, perfect for a swing set and trees to climb. We are both teachers and have a heart for children. We love our jobs and our students and often pour our love out on them and celebrate their successes.

We have known since before our marriage that Shannon could not have children. He told me on our 3rd date that he would do anything to have a child and that he would LOVE to adopt. I felt the same way! Then we found that I could not have children either. We knew it was God's plan all along for us to be a couple to adopt and love our babies that way. We are so excited to become parents for the first time. We have been praying for this and preparing for this baby for some time.

We pray that you would get just a small snapshot of our lives and the life we would love to share with a baby. Know that whatever decision you make will be the right one! God will show you the way. Know that we will pray for you for now on. We will continue to pray and prepare as if our baby was coming today!
